Volunteering in the Tropical North Queensland

While living in Townsville, I'm trying to dig my teeth into some of the wildlife research going on nearby.  I've so far volunteered for a few projects.

First, I volunteered for a phd student studying tadpoles and their ecology in TNQ rainforest streams.

Then, I volunteered for another phd student studying tooth-billed bowerbirds in Paluma. I didn't take my camera, so all the following photos are credited to Carmen Panayi.

on my last day there, we went swimming at a water hole
 Me and Carmen!

It was a beautiful place

I also volunteered for Carmen's supervisor by helping Carmen and her supervisor's colleague catch Waterfall frogs in Crystal Creek at night to collect some measurements and other data. No pictures =(

Had to leave Carmen's project early though because I sprained my ankle, but its getting better every day!
