Oahu for PSG

My thesis advisor, Dr. Karnovsky, took 4 of her research students, including me, to the lovely island of Oahu, Hawaii to attend the Pacific Seabird Group Conference at Turtle Bay Resort! How lucky am I!!! Chris even got to come along! (he helped pay for the expenses)

Though I took many pictures, I sadly cannot share them.  My hard drive fried recently and the pictures were not backed up. Here are some pictures that my friends Jaimie Canepa and Molly Shallman, who were 2 of the 3 other research students, took.

Molly, Neha, Me, Chris, and Dr. K hiking at Ka'ena Point, a conservation area where rats and dogs are kept out so wedge-tailed shearwaters and laysan albatross can breed.

 I'm investigating some tidepools here

Laysan Albatross!!! with a chickypoo!!!

----edit----
Here I am, making a very weird face, with the poster I presented at PSG. Thanks for taking the photo Mom!
