a small note

So as you may have noticed, I stopped my 365 project.

It was becoming quite difficult to keep up with taking a photo a day and posting it with classes, work, and life keeping me busy.

Also, I realized that sometimes there would be a day of a BUNCH of great photos, and a stretch of days of no photos... and it became kind of painful to have to choose only 1 of several cool photos and then feel forced to put up a kind of crappy photo for the sake of having one up.

So, this is the direction I plan to move toward: instead of posting a photo a day, I'll try to have a theme to several photos, or like the last couple posts, put up a few of my favorites from an event I went to so friends and family can keep up with me.

In the meanwhile... any suggestions for a new name for this blog?

Pacific Seabird Group Conference

This past weekend, my mentor, Professor Karnovsky, took 11 Pomona students (including me!) to the Pacific Seabird Group Conference in Long Beach, California, where we got to meet and listen to tons of seabird biologists! We also got to go to the Aquarium at the Pacific, and some of our group gave poster presentations. The conference was held at The Westin, where we also stayed
